INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR: Reach your world with language

DEPOK - In order to face the current era of globalization and millennialization, Sebi Language Center, better known as SLC, held an English and Arabic Days Launching themed "INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR: Reach your world with language", as an opening for all SLC activities for one management. The event aims to increase the interest and self-confidence of STEI SEBI students in using English and Arabic, held on Wednesday (04/04/18) at Sebi Hall STEI SEBI. This program was divided into 2 sessions, namely English and Arabic sessions, and went well.

The first session was delivered by Mr. Fery Dzaack, who says "the more training you are more confident, the more you will be able to speak". He stressed that the exercises, exercises, and exercises that must be carried out by students in addition to improvisation were carried out to improve English skills. In the second session the same thing was also conveyed by Dr. Ogail Mohammed Ahmed Sideg in Arabic.


Opening registration or recruitment for Arabic and English class mentoring programs is the closing session of this international seminar.

2. Council = n (Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat)

     E.g We all knew that Indonesia has many interesting culture.

4. Governor = n (Gubernur)

     E.g She is the first female governor in this city.

"VOCABULARY" 


1. Capital = n (Modal Usaha/Bisnis) Money, property, etc., that is used to start or operate a business.

     E.g Do we have the capital to start a business?

2. Cost = n (Biaya) Something that is lost, damaged, or given up in order to achieve or get something.

    E.g He was fined 50 dollars and ordered to pay court cost.

3. Consumer goods = n (Barang Jualan) Products that people buy for personal use or for use at home.

     E.g A range of consumer goods, from clothing to cameras to food.

4. Currency = n (Mata Uang) The money that a country uses.

     E.g They use Indonesia currency to pay the bill.

5. Economics = n (Ilmu Ekonomi) A science concerned with the process or system by which goods and services are produced, sold, and bought.

     E.g I take economics as my major of study at SEBI.

6. Economic = adj (Ekonomi) Something that is connected with economy. Such as Industry, Trade, Government, and Finance.

     E.g Our country has signed an economic partnership with Malaysia.

7. Economical = adj (Ekonomis/Hemat) Giving good value or service in relation to the amount of money, time, or effort spent.

     E.g ITB has found a way to make solar energy more economical.

8. Economically = adv (Secara ekonomis) In a way that relates to economics or finance

     E.g Hanin is economically independent of her parents.

9. Economist = n (Ahli Ekonomi) An expert in economics.

    E.g My husband is an economist.

10. Debt = n (Hutang) An amount of money that you owe to a person, bank, company, etc.

     E.g The nation's growing foreign debt.

B : of couse, i will fight for stabilize national economic and currency

1.       Drop off  = To take someone to a place and leave them there.                         
E.g          I’ll drop you off on my way home.

2.       Check in  = To register at a hotel.
E.g          Please check in at least an hour before depature.

3.       Check out  = To leave and pay for your stay at a hotel.
E.g          We checked out at morning.
               
4.       Pick up =  To go and fetch someone from a place and take them somewhere else.
E.g          I’ll pick you up at the station.

5.       Take off  =  When a plane leaves and begins to fly.
E.g          The plane took off an hour late.

6.       Get away  = To leave to go somewhere for a break or holiday.            
E.g          We’re hoping to get away for a few days at Easter.

7.       Set out  =   To start a trip or adventure.
E.g          They set out on the last stage of their journey. 

8.       Stop over   =  To have a short visit in a place while on the way to your destination.
E.g          I’m going to stop over in Nwe York City on my way to Boston.

9.       Hurry up  =  To rush and not waste time.
E.g          Hurry up! We’re going to be late.

10.   Look around = To explore what is near you, in your area.
E.g          People came out of their houses and looked around.

             Drug = To give a drug to ( a person or animal) in order to make that person or animal very sleepy or unconscious.                               
E.g          He looks like he has been drugged.

2.       Cough = To force air through your throat with a short, loud noise often because you are sick.
E.g          My father was coughing and sneezing all day.

3.       Ache =  To produce a dull continuous pain or to hurt in a way that is constant but not severe.
E.g          After running the marathon, Bill’s body ached for a week.

4.       Bruise =  To cause a part of a person’s body, a piece of fruit, etc.
E.g          She bruised her knee when she fell.

5.       Exercise = To do physical activities in order to make yourself stronger and healthier.
E.g          It is important to exercise everyday.

6.       Blind =  To cause (someone) to be unable to see.            
E.g          She was blinded as a child in terrible fire.

7.       Bump =  To hit (something, such as part of your body) against an object in sudden and forceful way.
E.g          I have a bruise from where I bumped my head.

8.       Faint = To suddenly become unconscious.
E.g          Bella always faints at the sight of blood.

9.       Vomit =  To have the food, liquid, etc, taht is in your stomach come out through your mouth because you are sick.
E.g          The dog vomited on the floor.

10.   Fever =  A body temperature that is higher than normal.
E.g          The baby has had a fever for two days.

Muis    : "What happened?"

"VOCABULARY"


Lecturer =  One who deliver lectures, especially professionally.
E.g          He is a lecturer in the English departement.

Degree    =  An acacdemic title given by a college or university to a student who has completed a study in university.
E.g          Anna received the Bachelor of Law degree at Universitas of Indonesia.

 Dissertation =  A lengthy, formal treatise, especially one written by candidate for the doctoral degree at a university.
E.g          He is currently writing a dissertation.

Thesis =  A long written essay,report,etc and often done for a university degree.
E.g          He is writing thesis on The works of Government.

 Debate = Argue with one another.
E.g          We debated the question of abortion.

At Grade  =  On the same level.          
E.g          A railroad crossing a highway at grade.

 Mark  =  A number, letter, or symbol used to indicate various grades of academic achievement. 
E.g          Ella got a mark of 3.75 instead of 4.0.      

 Research =  Work that involves studying something and trying to discover facts about it.
E.g          I had come to India to do some research of the Culture in India.

Researcher =  To carry out such study.
 E.g          Team A are researching the effects of acid rain.

Assembly =  To call or bring together.
E.g          He assembled his family and told them of his plan.
